Aspen celebrates Independence Day with a whimsical twist. Approximately 20,000 local residents and visitors come together to honor the nation’s birthday in true American style. Festivities include a parade,  a kid’s bicycle rodeo, concerts, dancing in the streets adjacent to Wagner Park starting at 6pm.

Due to the implementation of outdoor fire restriction and in the spirit of safety the July 4th fireworks over Aspen Mountain have been cancelled.

This Year’s Grand Marshall is Dave Ressler, CEO of Aspen Valley Hospital.

With events planned for people of all ages, Aspen’s Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration is a day-long event the whole family can enjoy! So grab the kids & come on down! A schedule of events for the day is listed below and additional event info is available in the menu to the left.
